SEA Games Kuala Lumpur opens August 19. Thai associations still finalizing send-off pins have one production window left — orders confirmed Tuesday morning ship Friday afternoon for Saturday press conferences.

Hard-Enamel Pins Survive the Trip Home

SEA Games athletes trade pins informally throughout the village. Soft-enamel pins crack and lose color after a week of pocket-and-trade abuse. Specify hard-enamel (polished, slightly heavier) for athlete pins — they come home from KL still photographable. Cost adds ฿8-12/pin over soft-enamel.

Backstamp the Association and Year

Every pin should have a small backstamp — association initials + "SEA Games KL 2017" — on the reverse. Stamping costs nothing extra (added to the die) and converts a generic pin into a documented artifact. Five years from now, those backstamped pins read as historic; unstamped ones read as souvenir junk.
