Color and Shape Are Allowed to Play
Adult corporate plaques default to brown wood and brass. Youth competition plaques can use bright UV-printed acrylic, die-cut into instruments, paint palettes, or stylized music notes. A 6mm acrylic plaque with full-color art runs about ฿180 — cheaper than a wooden plaque, and far more likely to actually get hung.
Write the Engraving Like the Kid Will Read It
Drop the bureaucratic phrasing. Instead of 'Awarded to [Name] in recognition of outstanding performance in the school-level vocal solo competition, junior division', try 'Best Voice — Junior — 2024'. Short titles fit larger fonts, read clearly across a room, and feel like a real win, not a certificate stapled onto wood.
