Curved Podium Reads Warmer Than Stepped

Rios podiums are gently curved at the back rather than orthogonal steps — softer silhouette, more inclusive group photo. Athletes lean toward each other naturally on the curve, away from each other on stepped podiums. For your tournament with photogenic-ceremony priority, curved podium construction costs only marginally more than stepped and produces visibly warmer team photos.

Flag Backdrop Geometry Matters

Rio flags rise at a steeper angle (35°) than the conventional vertical, putting more flag in-frame on the same backdrop width. The geometry is borrowed from theatre lighting practice. For your tournament with national or team flags at the ceremony, raising the flag tilt by 10-20° from vertical noticeably improves the frame composition without changing the venue.
