Every year we say end-of-March is the lock deadline for May sport-day production. In 2026, with World Cup-themed corporate orders flooding factory queues starting April 1, the realistic lock date for any school that wants design flexibility is March 15. After that you can still order, but the design choices narrow to whatever moulds are already running. Two weeks of forward planning here saves a quarter of headaches.
A genuine cost-and-time-saving move: use our standard plaque bases and zinc-alloy trophy bases (we stock these year-round) and commission only the top medallion or topper as custom. You get a custom-feeling award at roughly half the lead time and 60% of the cost of a fully custom commission. For school sport-day where 80% of recipients want similar awards with class-specific differentiation, this is the right structure.
